I will buy one, restricted or not.
I have owned many berettas and their quality is excellent. This rifle in going to rock.
A few thoughts.
1. That's a sheet tonne of plastic.
2. What mechanics are hiding forward of the magazine well that requires all that plastic? My guess....nothing.
3. Quick barrel change mechanism, who actually needs this? Cool idea, but really, just buy another gun. It will likely cost the same. This is one more idea that makes the unit cost more, and be less accurate.
4. The pistol grip does not look like it is removable, thus not swappable with a variety of AR-15 grips. So much for customizing.
5. Is it just me, or is the bore axis and sight axis miles apart?
6. The possibility of Non Restricted status is very tempting
7. Using AR mags makes it very tempting
8. Price, yet to be determined, but if it comes in sub $2000 cdn, then it will be very tempting.
9. Since everything but the top-rail is pre-molded plastic, it will make it next to impossible to deck out with copius mag-pul farkles. <sad>
For me, it will come down to just a few selling points,
1. How expensive is it?
2. How reliable is it?
3. How accurate is it?
If the answer is somelike "sub $2000, built like a tank, and <1.5 MOA all day long" then I think we have a winner.
Anyone heard anything more on these. I shoot IPSC with a 90-Two and skeet with an A400. An ARX100 would make it all Beretta for 3 gun.
Why would there be that much difference in price between USA and Canada, there is about $100 difference on a 92fs and about $200 on an a400 xtreme.
Any of you guys happen to hear anything about when we might see these for sale up here ? I need to start saving!
