    S.a.m

    Will these 1911's handle +P ammo?, or would you have to beef up springs?

    i have the sam military 45 with the 5" barrel. can this handle +p?

    All the SAM handguns will handle +P loads, max pressure is max pressure and ammo manufactures will not exceed that. The original .45 ACP load was a 230 gr jacketed RN bullet at approx 850 fps. The +P loads tend to use a lighter bullet at a higher velocity, occasional use is OK however if you I going to use +P loads on a regular basis I would recommend using a stronger (Heavier) recoil spring.
