These competition and duty-use oriented pistols in 9mm and .40S&W can be had with a 4.25" or 5" barrel, optimized for use as a tactical firearm or a sporting competition firearm. S&W cooperated with major optics manufacturers such as Trijicon, Insight, C-More, and others to produce specialty slides with a milled-in mounting point for micro red dot sights and tall iron sights built to cowitness with these popular electronic 1x sights. Additionally, the grips feature the new version of the ergonomic backstrap with the second generation texturing designed to provide more stable purchase on the firearm with or without gloves.
