I wondered too because the new straight stock was for that purpose. I think it would be hard to use the sights as is.

It is near impossible to use the iron sights with the straight stock...

That's what I thought. Maybe they don't know it pivots down? If this stock doesn't pivot down I think there's a problem.

...I actually bought a non-railed receiver cover for my straight stocked BRS-99 since I don't use an optic. I have no problem using the irons with the straight stock.

I must have a fat face as I can not use the irons unless I swing the stock down. Pulled straight out I can't see a damn thing...

Angled stock is where it's at. Much better sight aquisition. I believe the straight stock was to reduce climb when on full auto, not likely to be helpfull in Canada...

the problem is that if there is no picatinny rail there is no other way to install any type of optics
and this thing is accurate to 75 m easily and my elderly eyes can't see very well at this distance.
It worries me that not enough people worry!

For this model without the picatinny, the stock should be angled. if not good luck shooting it. (mine is 2007 model no picatinny, ANGLED STOCK)
