Tired of having a forward mounted optic on your CZ?

These are manufactured in the Czech Republic for the VZ 58 family. The side scope rail is designed for CSA rifles, minor modification is required to install on the CZ 858 rifle series.

CSA VZ 58 Sporter Receiver Side Rail $32.95

CSA VZ 58 Sporter Red Dot Picatinny Scope Mount $67.50

I bought a sidemount, in the photo below, from you guys a couple few years ago with the intention of getting a rail and mounting it.

Do you know if my sidemount will fit that rail?

It's hard to say as there are a few variants of the side mounts and rails.

What is the "minor modification". Drill & tap or something less onerous?

Note. I have a set up like this on my m4 stock style and it is less than ideal for cheek weld or even jaw weld.

My CSA was pre drilled and threaded for the rail. The mount went on easy and holds zero after reassembly. I've had it for less than a year now - works well

In my honest opinion, it is a nice set up, but you will need a cheek riser or the dust cover rail is probably a safer bet. This rail is nice because it does hold zero, and you can still peep under it to see your irons. Plus it just looks nicer.

I don't mind a small red dot upfront but ever since I mounted a rear peep sight and fibre optic front post I'm less inclined to even bother with the red dot.
