Question about M-14 Heavy Duty Bipod [AIM-BPM14]
I bought this bipod, M-14 Heavy Duty Bipod [AIM-BPM14] for my m305b. It shipped in a big envelope with no installation guide or anything. Can Marstar or anybody who has this bipod to share some experience about how to install this Bipod? looks like I need to attach it to gas cylinder lock right? Will the gas cylinder mount change the barrel harmonics so affect accuracy or potentially cause damage?
Thanks.

Almost looks like it goes around the barrel or something. Edit: look up some pictures of it on google. It attaches around the gas block.

It won't be good for harmonics, I'd ditch it and install a sling stud in the fore end, then stick a Harris swivel model on it.

Most of these m14 bipods were designed or cloned from designs that had full auto in mind. Not going to work well for single shots and barrel harmonics.

Here is a pic of one installed, I use my original M2 bipod all the time and never had an issue, It is a pain in the azz to get on and off, A stud and a Harris bipod is better

I know its not the best for accuracy but that looks cool and I like its historic element

Ah, I see. Thank you, guys. I'll use it as "historic element", too. It does look cool at this point.
