Not that I'm looking for one but Ruger SR9s and SR40s seemed to have disappeared off the dealer's shelves here in Canada. I haven't seen one offered for sale in 6 to 8 months. I wonder if NS is still distributing these pistols?

Ruger pistols in general are still thin on the ground and their backlog is massive. And when you DO find one the price might be silly. The dealers would love to have supply I'm sure but it will take time.

The Americans are going "Ruger" crazy. Any lucky SOB that bought some Ruger stock/shares 4 or 5 years ago is going to do VERY well.

^ and neither have them
I just ordered/received an SR9 from Calgary Shooting Centre for $499 + Shipping. It's amazing, and would recommend. They have them in stock.
Ruger is opening another plant in North Carolina to keep up with demand. Their Prescott AZ plant was closed for a week or so last month after a massive rainstorm broght down part of the roof of the factory.
When it rains in the dessert, it pours!
Well I see that Jo Brook Firearms have the SR40s in stock......
