    I haven't read the rest of the thread... The notice in message #1 of the thread - he states barrel length.

    Ok.. I've scanned through the thread and looked at the advert on the website. I want one but with this contract running out at the end of the year and nothing looking like it's in the pipeline, I have to hold back.
    Looks like a wonderful deal.
    I DO have a question, though. John... I know the Canadian law was written so that any and all firearms are now called "weapons," regardless of their designed use - a single-shot, hair-trigger "free pistol" for competition is called a "weapon". So is an air rifle. I'd use the free-pistol as a club before I tried shooting it as a weapon because of the 30 gram trigger...

    Is there any way to work towards downgrading this language by calling it a "semi-automatic rifle" instead of a "semi-automatic weapon"? I know that the original design of the M-14 (and it's predecessor the M-1 Garand) was as a battle weapon, but in Canada, now, the LEGAL use of these firearms is for target shooting and hunting. Calling it a "weapon" implies that it's going to be used on people. While it MAY end up being used on people, that's currently against the law almost always in Canada, so if you call it a "rifle" or a "firearm" you're helping tell the politico types that despite Canadian law, it's not brought into Canada for use AS a WEAPON.
    When we shoot target competitions in ISSF matches we get rather pissy when people call our Walther GSPs or whatever "weapons".

    Don't delay.... Don't be disappointed, these shipments are at the old pricing, later shipments this year will reflect the factory increases.

    Expect processing delays of approximately ten (10) days due to demand....

    Any of these hit the mail yet???
    Things either are what they appear to be;
    or they neither are, nor appear to be;
