ah well, they obviously asked the right price because they sold out....people just want unique rifles in their collection, and there you go...expensive conversation piece...
Has anyone heard the term economies of scale.
Some importers buy small batches their cost is higher and they increase the price to cover all their costs, while others import by the container load the cost of purchase and transport becomes reasonable and the operating expenses can be covered with a reasonable markup margin which means we all profit.
If a dealer imports a handful he transports air freight cost is high doubles and quadruples stocking cost hence higher prices to consumer, while if a dealer imports a container full transport cost is a fraction therefore he can sell at a reasonable price. Hence the prices at CanAm and other importers that are bringing us the deals we have been taking advantage of.
I am hoping CanAm Or one of the bigger importers would import a large quantity of this rifle and sell it to us at a reasonable price.
Enough said or do you want me to go on for another hour or 2....lol

With all due respect the competitor who offered these rifles at 3k imported a handful most probably air freight we need a large importer to bring in a larger quantity sea freight part lot of some other products and offer these rifles at a reasonable price.
I am not saying they can offer them at $500 or less but they can pass on a significant savings. I presume the price would be close to the t97 but not the same as they are of the same platform.
I do the same with construction materials almost on a weekly bases from China no less.
My 2 cents. . .
