I shot it two days ago, the default gas setting was to 0, it had to be (energetically) operated to eject/feed. Put it on 1 after than, and *damn*... Those Norinco brass are flying 25 feets 45 degree on the front right. The supplied mag went fine, then put 4 LAR-15 mag without issue. Iron sight were dead on at about 40 yards. Then I had issue with the fifth LAR-15 which got stuck in the mag well. I was able to unstuck it afterward.

Hopefully, I will test the 5 remaining LAR-15 mag I have tomorrow.

All in all, it's a great shooter, though I have yet to abuse it :-)

Somebody had one at the range on the weekend, and everybody fired a few through it. LAR15 mags didn't seem to be a problem, brass flew as described above, 25 feet and forward a bit. I fired one round rather gingerly (lefty!!) and yes the brass hits a lefty in the teeth. No cut lip but I definitely won't do that again. I just had to know, you know?

FWIW, I got a couple FTF with LAR-15 as well, but it seem to be a "known" issue.

Anybody got their 97's tricked out yet? I'm waiting to see the first one that has had the Krylon treatment.
