Not exactly, those glock mags are made specifically to work with a glock, the fact that other firearms can use them doesn't matter. The XCR-M pistol mags will have to show that they are made specifically for the XCR-M pistol (slight differences or modifications etc), just taking a 10 round 308 magazine and stamping pistol magazine on the side of it doesn't count. Take a look at the XCR-L pistol mags and compare them to an ar magazine, there are differences, but it just happens that they will still work in ar's etc.

Any preview or pictures of the sample magazine? Are they in a body of a 10/10 or 10/20?

no pics right now and I'm not even sure what mag body those are in. To me it doesn't really matter what body they are in as long as we can get them approved. Any 10 round 308 pistol mag is better than no 10 round 308 pistol mag.

What exactly has to happen for these magazines to be approved as pistol magazines?

To the best of my knowledge the firearm they go in has to be issued a FRT Report making it available for Canadians to purchase. Only then will the magazines be approved.

First we need to have a pistol, then the magazine follows. I would much prefer that we avoid any technical discussion and speculation on a public forum, it will do no good, thank you.

Agreed. It will likely only serve to undermine our own efforts!
