Question XCR-M Pistol Variant (A 10-round mag thread)

Could I start this thread here inquiring as to if/when/what the current status of the XCR-M pistol is? Specifically, if it will meet Canadian "pistol" classification and thus ship with 10-round magazines?

Would love to hear whatever Wolverine Supplies knows about this state of affairs. All I know is that Robinson Armament has been "shipping" the XCR-M pistol for the past couple of years, and yet no one has seen one. Is that still the latest information available? If so, perhaps you guys at Wolverine could poke Rob Arms for an update?

There ARE a few out there. They show up every now and again in a picture thread here or there. I heard VERY few were sold, but they definitely WERE sold. The 10 round XCR pistol mags exist in this country entirely thanks to the XCR micro pistol. If non had been sold, the mags would not be allowed. But they ARE allowed and they ARE legal. So dont worry about the few who have an XCR pistol, just go buy some mags and enjoy.

It's too bad the mags that came with my XCR-M is crap and doesn't work worth a damn. Had to switch to pmags in order to get my XCR-M to function correctly. Therefore I wouldn't get too excited for a pistol mag version of this mag.

Are you referring to the XCR-L pistol and its mags? Because this is about the XCR-M pistol and potentially getting 10 round mags in the SR-25/DPMS pattern. And if I know the law correctly, I believe that DPMS/Magpul/ACM/whoever make these style mags could then sell ones pinned to 10-rounds marketed for the XCR-M pistol and they would all be legal.

I've only had a chance to put about 25 rounds through my XCR-M so far, but I've got 4 4/20 DPMS mags on order and 520 Norinco rounds as well. I foresee a written review with pictures and/or video in my future...

No, they couldn't just pin mags to ten. That is why we don't have 10/30 pinned rifle mags.

They could mag specific xcr-m pistol mags, which look much like the xcr-l pistol mags. The mags would need to be built and designed specifically for the xcr-m pistol.

Mag pull has already refused to ake polymer 10 round pistol mags for the canadian market. CAA did/does mag a pistol mag for Alberta Tactical's AR pistol so aside contract is possible. Most likely though, they would be metal like he L's.

I thought that as long as they were marketed specifically with or for a "pistol" then they could be pinned to 10. You could buy a 20 round extended pistol magazine pinned to 10 if you wanted. Wouldn't that be the same thing?

They must be produced specifically for a pistol, a la LAR-15, or the ATRS AT-15 pistol mags.
