Lewis Machine and Tool Company (LMT®) has introduced the LM308MWS,
Sharpshooter System for the U.S. / Canadian Commercial Market.
If you’ll recall, in 2009, the British MOD selected Lewis Machine and Tool Company
to be sole supplier what is now designated the L129A1 sharpshooter’s rifle.

The new Sharpshooter System, like its UK predecessor, is built on a one-piece upper receiver
with a free floating 16″ stainless steel, tactically flat-matte blackened barrel with a 1:11.25″ twist
with the SureFire adapter mounted. The .308 Modular Weapon System features
Flat Dark Earth furniture, a semi-auto carrier group, charging handle assembly,
SOPMOD buttstock, two-stage trigger, an ambi-selector and ambi-mag release
and flip-up front and rear sights.

LMT® packs this collector’s rifle in a Pelican case with foam cut outs and includes not
only the manual, torque wrench/driver and three Flat Dark Earth rail panels,
but also eight 20-round magazines (limited to 5), two heavy-duty push-button swivels,
a .308 OTIS cleaning kit, a sliding sling mount, a chamber cleaning rod and
sight adjustment tool and a Harris Bipod assembly. The complete, one-of-a-kind Sharpshooter System
in one package is now available and In-Stock @ Questar…

if it was $ 1000 cheaper, I would place my order right away

This one is special! Most accurate semi I have come across!

I was shooting it with out the suppressor and was getting impressive groups in between 1/2" and 3/4" with factory ammo then we put the suppressor on and it was magic 1/2" consistancy wow!!

Same can that was at CISC;)

There's a good article in the most recent Guns and Ammo about this rifle, and how it came about. Sounds really nice. I would if I had the cash, or room on the credit line...

Any care to suggest a good matching scope for this rifle? Ideally somethign taht Questar carries?
I've been waiting for a good kit for longer range shooting and this rifle looks ideal...

For a rifle with these capabilities you would be best to look for an optic which is variable power (something with a low end of 3 or 4 and a high end of 15 to 20)
have a 30 or 34mm main tube (for maximum elevation adjustment) and an objective lens with something greater than 44mm to maximize light transmission.

While we do not offer optics with these attributes you may want to consider:

Leupold Mk6 3-18X44
Leupold Mk4 4.5-14X50
Kahles 3-12X50
Schmidt & Bender 5-25X56

Among other top quality brands.

Do you carry the Leupold Mk4 4.5-14X40? It would save some weight.
