    T97 Spare Parts

Hi NS, just wondering about the availability of spare parts for the T97, especially the firing pin?

Any chance the AK47/74 firing pin is compatible to the T97's? It's a long shot, but they do seem to be similar, especially the 5.45x39 versions.

Isn't there a spare pin in the cleaning kit in the handle?

The firing pin retaining pin is staked into the bolt.

How likely is it for the firing pin to break?

I like dry firing, without protection, it's a fact.

    Should I be worried?

I would hope the importers are bringing in parts or stripping down rifles for parts, anything mechanical can fail leaving us with a paper weight.

Talked to Jon @ North Sylva this morning. He said that while they don't have spare parts available right now they are working on getting the "essentials" (firing pin, springs, etc.) in the following months.

Jon said they have not had any problems yet, and that his demo model has already seen well over 10k rounds.
