How are these guns with slugs? Are they point of aim accurate, or is there always some type of hold you have to learn? Really would like one that could throw slugs 25-75m away reasonably close

Was shooting slugs at the range today out of my versamax. With that particular load; I was grouping about 4" - 6" to the right and 3" low on a 100 yard target using the bead and f/o front sight to aim. Modified Choke was still in.

The guns can be zeroed too with slugs. That was done when I got my modifications. My gun was dead on and shoots just 1.5 inches high at 50 yards. It's not a rifle but still capable of centre of mass hits at reasonable distance. While not a tack driver, anything hit by a 12 ga slug is going to show you mucho respect. From what I've read, you can use slugs with up to a modified choke and even a full without doing damage. The cautious position would be to stay with modified or wider.
I shoot low-recoil slugs for competition as the full loads get a little old with rapid fire shots unless you are a gorilla.
