Now in Stock - Remington Versamax 26" Shotguns for Action Shotgun shooting.

THE NEW STANDARD FOR RELIABILITY IN AUTOLOADING SHOTGUNS.

VERSA MAX® shatters convention and all previous benchmarks for reliability with an action unlike any that have come before it. Proven in the field and in extreme test of endurance with thousands of test rounds, it cycles all 12-gauge loads with ultimate consistency, softer recoil and less maintenance than you've ever experienced.

Any load. Anywhere. Every time - the new pinnacle of autoloader technology.

At this time, we are only stocking the Versamax 26" BBL, Synthetic Stock Model.

Excellent Canadian Solution for Semi-Auto Multigun or Shotgun competition. The chamber is labelled 3.5"; the gun can have the magazine tube extended (we'll have the extensions soon) to accommodate 7 X 2 3/4" shells legally (because it can't chamber 6x 3 1/2" shells) With one in the pipe and a ghost load, this gun can start with 9x 2 3/4" shells loaded.

Excellent all purpose gun. Shoot Multigun, Skeet, IPSC Shotgun, Trap and hunt whatever you want with it.

I have the 22 inch tactical model and legally can get 6 + 1 because the gun is marked for 3 inch shells despite actually being chambered for 3-1/2. Most of my fellow shooters here in Texas get the 26 inch model and then upgrade it with all the so called tactical features. When down here I have the extension that came with the tactical and then a two round mini extension on that for 10 + 1. It works flawlessly. I also had some mods made that help to make this a fine gun for 3Gun. One of the changes replaced the lifter with an extended one that is easier on the thumb during high speed reloads. It's certainly one of the most popular competition guns available.

Hercster, what brand of extended lifter did you acquire?

I had my work done by Benny Hill who has a shop here in Corpus Christi that does work for most competition shooters. Initially I believe that they "welded" up the modified lifter. Now it looks to me that he has them fabricated from scratch. It's longer and squared at the chamber end as compared to the "V" on the OEM. That "V" and the extra space between it and the end of the loading port can be a nasty trap for your thumb. Benny also machines the loading port to eliminate sharp edges. He also cuts an angle into the foregrip to eliminate the 90 deg end that catches on your hand when doing some reloads. He lightened the bolt as part of the package. With those changes and the addition of the "tactical" parts, the VM is a very good gaming gun. Here are a couple of pictures that will help illustrate the changes. I'm told there are Canadian smiths that do similar work.

The beauty of the VM is that just a few changes make it close to as good functionally as other brands at less cost. I suggest that shooters consider good extended chokes. They are VM specific. I bought Trulocks.

Benny Hill is one of the local superstars. Last season I shot in my first ever shotgun match. Actually it was the first time I handled a shotgun in 50 years. The rookie was squaded with the Great Benny Hill himself and got some coaching. Life is rough down here in Corpus. There are several "National" level shooters so I bask in their glory. I have to settle for having nice guns that far out shine me.
