You missed the question. WHY is it fun? WHAT uses would you have for it?

In the US, fun is enough!

With the Class 3 units Tactical Imports carries, you should see the entire beam through NVGs. Not many US shooters have that!

The ability to to move and defend yourself if needed at night in a shtf situation would be invaluable, you could move during the day and risk being shot by any one of the thousands of scoped hunting rifles floating around town, or you can move in the shadows and avoid as much conflict as possible. So while some people think 10,000 rounds will save them, it would be better to have a few thousand rounds and never need to use them. I realize that there's only a 1% chance it would ever be needed but it was ingrained in me from a very young age to prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Besides it's just cool.

    I agree with the above.
Not just the IR pointers, but the IR illuminators would be priceless when if it came to a night time encounter or evasion.

It would be comical to have the ability to see at night and watch those that do not have it stumble around in the dark.

Being able to avoid a situation is worth the $2 -$3k

I have no problem with people owning them either. I just have less disposable income for something like this and didn't understand what you might use it for. To each his own.
