New stock in - SCORE slugs $149 per case of 200

We have just received shipment from Prairie Shot of 1oz Slugs - High Velocity 1560 FPS. They are impressively priced at $149 per case of 200, or a box of 10 for $8.49.

Not heard of SCORE shotgun shells? They are proudly made in Canada (Carberry, MB), and offer very favorable pricing on their products. Their incredible value magnifies when you take into account their high quality components, including Super-G wads.

We have many repeat customers for SCORE products, so add a box to your next order and give it a go.

We offer reasonable Canada shipping and free local Calgary pickups

Out of curiosity, what kind of slugs are these? Foster? Gualandi? I doubt they'd be Brenneke [sigh]

    Thanks.

Thug slugs from Italy according to the company. BPI carries the slugs as a component.

The slugs are Locatelli Thug slugs - which are a lot like Foster slugs - they are hollow at the tip and hollow inside. They are excellent for penetration and ballistic accuracy. Here and here are links to some rather bad quality photos to demonstrate the inside of the SCORE slug shell - we will get some high quality pictures up on the website soon.

Here is some info on the LC Thug Slug from their manufacturers:

The LC Thug series of slugs is our most advanced slug design to date. Over the course of over 40 years of lab and field testing, we've seen and shot countless slug designs. Nothing has performed like the Thug series of slugs.

The "Thug" series of slugs was thus named by one of the guys in our plant. His words were, "Thugs are flat-nosed, hard-hitting fighters." The name stuck. The guys in our ballistic lab are also crowing about the performance of the Thug Slug series because they satisfy all the critical criteria of a superior shotshell projectile:

Hard-hitting performance in every size and weight.
Precise accuracy from both rifled and smoothbore barrels.
Loading ease with data utilizing roll and fold crimps.

Our original goal was to develop a great 1-ounce 12ga slug to replace the venerable AQ-Slug. Our search led us directly to the entire Thug Slug series. Indeed, there is a slug in this series for almost every type of slug shooter and slug-oriented game. The net result is what you've come to expect: tight target groupings and hard hitting, knock-down performance in both smoothbore and rifled barrels.

    Features:

    Unitized one-piece design.
Easy to load: Roll or Fold crimp.
    Double-reinforced gas seal.
    Quad-buckle self-adjusting cushion system.
Rifled ribbing engages rifling and reduces the friction of bore-contact.
Flat-nose design increases relative shock power and allows for easy loading.
Hollow-point design for maximum impact and rapid energy transfer.

Energy damping crush-sections absorb setback forces, enabling the projectile to stabilize earlier in the propulsion cycle. Successfully utilized used in both rifled and non-rifled shotguns.

Would love to order a case, specially with the Canadian connection to the company, but you guys really need to work out better shipping rates with your carriers. Shipping to the east coast just puts them out of contention.

Sorry for that - I agree that east coast and northern areas, especially those not in a major center, do have high shipping costs, as we're based in Calgary. Please feel free to PM me your postal code and I will see if we can find a lower rate for you. Generally speaking, we can often find savings. Our best rates are to Alberta and BC, but our customers in ON and QC normally find our shipping prices to be acceptable
