    I would say that the mid size bag would be just right for most shooters. As an RSO for the military, I have a very large range bag...why, range orders, tools, chem lights (for night shoots) it gos on and on and on. When your conducting a range in the middle of nowhere...best to bring all of the tools. A question was raised for locking...I don't carry any firearms in my range bag, with such a big bag I have filled it for every conceivable contingency for being on a military and civilian range. All of my firearms are carried separately in a hard case.
