Yes we could conduct our own "nail test" but then we are gambling that the whole shipment is all the same as the test can. I will not risk that, would you?
This is one of the reasons Wolverine is one of my favorite suppliers.

If you look at the picture of the crate Wolverine has posted at the beginning of the thread, it's stamped 31kg, most of these crates are stamped 29kg. Does anyone know why the difference? And thanks John for the great responses, I too have bought these crates elsewhere and am very interested as to what you find out.

all spam can 7.62X39 IS corrosive (especially from china)...anyone seen different??
...unless CLEARLY MARKED 'NON-CORROSIVE' (mid to late 80's)
also, headstamp numbers can tell you if corrosive (quick internet search)
...been dooped twice before on chinese AND russian (nice shooting corrosive stuff though)
...has to be CLEARLY MARKED 'NON-CORROSIVE' ...otherwise don't believe it!

selling this stuff as non-corrosive BECAUSE SOMEONE IN CHINA might've said
    'you want non-corrosive, ya, o.k., it's non-corrosive' is not good business...PERIOD!
this is not a case of 'just clean yer guns, it'll be fine'

...FOR THOSE FOOLS WHOM THINK DEMANDING CORRECT INFORMATION from someone
SELLING A PRODUCT IS WHINING/SNIVELING...i have several mint guns for sale...1873 colt, etc
...well i was TOLD they were original authentic...but you wouldn't want to WHINE/SNIVEL 'BOUT THAT?!

Even corrosive at $225 is pretty good compared to $325 locally for me.

It's funny you say that about the Russian ammo being sold as non corrosive. I have been shooting Barnaul 123 grain Russian ammo out of my vz 58. 200 rounds later everything is completely black inside and I found a little rust here and there nothing bad tho. $150/500 rounds. It's sold as non- corrosive and there website says it as well buy nothing states anywhere on the boxes that its non corrosive.

Has anyone used this type of ammo before and experienced it. ?

The Barnaul is current production Russian ammo - it is non-corrosive, lead core. I have tested several rounds.
