Do you have anymore of these kits still available? Or at least a barrel?....... Long story short, newb shooter + corrosive ammo = pitted barrel/costly mistake. Currently I have an over-price but pretty paperweight.
Dlask or maybe wolverine, iirc can install a new(not one you supply, one of their own) barrel for a few hundred. I've seen old barrels on the ee once in a while
The wild still lingered in him and the wolf in him merely slept

The kit barrels are restricted length too, ex military 15". Too short for exchanging on a NR rifle.
The barrels are put in with a 20-ton press or something (from the Czech Small Arms factory tour video on YouTube) so I agree that it would be pretty hard to replace a barrel yourself.
Yeah, they definitely have to be pressed in/out. I'm looking into possibly seeing if I can call and re-register it as a restricted so I can put a 15.5" chome lined barrel on it. I definitely plan on having a someone do it for me.
After this incident I am really hesitant to put another non-chrome lined barrel on it. I never realized how sensitive they actually were to corrosive ammo. I've left my other firearms for a day or two before cleaning and never had an issue. On the other hand nothing else I own shoots corrosive ammo.
Thanks for all your help.
