Any mentors out there from Edmonton that have a Glock 19 that they're willing to let a noob test out? I'll buy ammo for you and me and Timmies or McDonalds or whatever lunch you prefer. I am a CHAS member.

Hello Everybody!
I'm looking for a place to shoot and am in Sherwood Park. Tried joining SPFGA and am on the waiting list, I know there is Phoenix but would prefer outdoors.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Hello. I'm a new member here. Currently in Edmonton area attending school. I'm looking to get my PAL and buy my first rifle.
Who offers PAL classes for a good price and offers them frequently in Edmonton?
And any recommendations of people to talk to about figuring out what rifle will suit my desires the bet?
Thanks!
P&D offers both non and restricted courses on regular basis, I think costs are fairly standard around Edmonton at around 100 dollars per course, roommate just signed up for his courses in a while at Phoenix, seems like theirs book pretty quickly, You can find p&d info just off their banner at the top under the courses tab on the left sidebar.
As far as first rifles I would recommend a .22 if you're just starting out, I've only been shooting for a couple years now, but if you want to try a few out I try and make a monthly outing over to Phoenix for a shooting session. I don't have much for options, just standard Com-Bloc surplus and a Henry lever .22.
Though as far as advice goes most stores I've been to in Edmonton area have been fairly helpful in recommending things to suit my tastes, though in the end I have always ended up purchasing all my firearms at P&D, simply because they usually have a bigger variety.
Hope my 2 cents there was helpful.
Figured I should post in here to get to know the Alberta group better.
Took a hiatus for some time and have come back with a vengeance. Went to the Calgary shooting center yesterday... place may as well be mecca lol. Coming from Victoria there certainly isnt anything like that back home.
Hoping to get back into ipsc (probably 2015 season) and get myself something fun to build over summer while I'm at it. Daniel defense mk18 most likely. Wondering were in Calgary has a strong ipsc presence? Ive read great things about all the local ranges, but iwould like to stay outdoors if possible. The next step would be the black badge. Is there any way to challenge the course? (Not meaning to sound cocky, although it definitely reads that way) if not, do they happen often in town, as I see the upcoming one is in Taber.
Well thanks in advance,

Who will guard the guards?
Opps...forgot to say hello in here. New visitor to this forum. Having a look around. Seems to be lots of enthusiasm and information.
So.... Hi!
Hi, I am totally new to this forum and just got my PAL and bought 2 rifles (SKS & Type 97 NSR) 2 days ago. Is there any mentors here willing to take a newbie as a guest to his range or club near Edmonton? I haven't applied to a club as first I dont know which one to apply for and second I dont know how much longer I will stay in Edmonton as I am currently looking for a Job Province wide. Anyway, glad to be here. Any help will be appreciated.
Hello from a fellow Albertan. Sorry, I'm not in Edmonton.
HI I'M a member at CHAS and SPFHG and Phoenix. Read all the new rules for each range, and if you like, I might be willing to take (to CHAS, as no guest at SPFGH). Safety and consideration are primo.
