Just wondering if these have the greyish finish or if they're blacker now?

I would call it very very dark grey. They are darker than the original ones. A lot of the original ones were really dry so they looked grey.

Ok thanks, can't go wrong for $89 bucks
If you can handle a KAC URX rail, they are the same colour.
Graphite Grey would be a good description
This one is not a blem or "Z" marked Lower
Just got one from SFRC 2 days ago. They look dark grey until you put a black handle on it....then it looks very grey.
It has a weird anodization to it; kinda chalky. Either way I'm doing a run of black Cerekote this weekend so I don't care.

You know it's funny, the 10.5 build I have used an NEA upper and lower obviously not matched, and I was expecting the dry grey colour I saw in so many online photos,..but when it arrived from another nutter,.. the lower looked a perfect flat black to me.
For the same light comparison side by side,..I just stood it next to an ArmaliteM15A4 and a Colt. The NEA lower has exactly the same smooth flat black of the Armalite, which are some of the nicest finished AR's around in my mind.
The upper, looks a light plum tinted black, almost a lightened version of the Russian SVT-40 with it's refurbed plum coloured bolt carrier. Colt is smooth dark grey, almost like parkerize.
If I had an NEA matching set of the colour on my lower, I'd be mighty pleased as would others I'm sure.:D
