    RPAL: No Reply

I sent my registration for my RPAL course about a week ago via email. I have gotten no reply from them. The only way I know that they have received my registration is that they have the payment pending that I seen on my online banking. I've called the 1-800 number quite a few times and never gotten ahold of a real person and have left multiple messages.

Is this normal I mean the payment has been pending for at least 5 days now.

    Very frustrating

The program in NB is being run out of the NBCC in Dieppe for goodness knows what purpose. They are slow to respond as this is an add-on duty for these folks, They will return your message in due time and they are nice folks to talk to and mean well so please be patient. Your experience was the same as mine was last year.

The application has a mandatory 28 day waiting period before they even start to process it, you have a very long wait from this point, most people wait for about 2-3 months.

who are you taking the course through, i think most people think you are talking about your RPAL application to the RCMP. After you are finished your course in May you will send it of to the RCMP and then the real wait starts, like stated above.

    hello,
I followed what he said and went on the website, filled in the registration form and emailed it back to them.

I thought this is what I do to start the process to obtain my RPAL.

Am I going about this process wrong?

If it is anything like Ontario, you go take the course on your own accord, write your test and do the practical, then if you pass the instructor sends the test results to your provincial CFO then you get those sent back to you and you fill out the application and send your application and test results into the RCMP and wait and wait and then one day after waiting a long time you get a phone call from one of your references telling you they just got off the phone with the RCMP then you get the call and if all is well you will be approved and get your card.

    Good luck
