Sure, I agree. They don't care. Same rules on my indoor range at Colby Shooting Club. Just magnet decides. However, it's good to know for ourselves that, in reality, there is lead in the bullet and the small steel core (soft steel) is sheathed in it.

True enough. Thanks for the clarification and the additional info.

Doesn't matter, anymore. We're only good for filling sandbags for floods and saving people during winter storms. Other-wise we're kicking posts and crazies who are over worked, over taxed, underpaid and never truly appreciated.

For 1-2 months they now don't offer it online sadly...
Nothing is more fairly distributed than common sense: no one thinks he needs more of it than he already has.

On top of it, for the past few months Cabela's doesn't offer any Norinco red box for sale. The price as of today (April 29/24) is $14.99 per 20 rds box which with HST comes to a whopping 85c per rd. And, as mentioned above, it says "Out of Stock Online". Preposterous price for this type of ammo. No other vendor offering "free shipping" has the Norinco red box in stock. Obviously, brass ammo like PPU or Sellier&Bellot is still available but its price approaches $2 per round (with HST). The situation looks really bleak.

We were discussing this in another thread recently - the general consensus is that Norinco Red box has a reasonable chance of being corrosive, so youre probably gonna clean your gun every outing anyway. So you may as well just shoot $0.30 surplus ammo since you’ll be cleaning anyway.
