CSA chrome lined 18.5"

is CSA 7.5" chromed? has it ever been produced chromed? I have just got mine, it does not look like it is chromed *scream in panic*. It being chromed was one of my big considerations :(

I would be interested. While your at it how about whipping up a VZ P58 (P = Pistol) so we can have 10 round magazines without machining. Just shorten the barrel on the 7.5" model.

The advantages of chrome lined barrels

The barrel is much easier to clean since carbon and copper fouling doesn't attach to the inside of the barrel as it does in a plain barrel.

The bore is resistant to corrosion and pitting, and you don't need to clean as often if using non corrosive ammo

Extraction and feeding is smoother

The barrel is less affected by erosion basically lasts longer.

$200. for a chromed barrel AND chamber AND gas system?

They're milking it for all it's worth IMO.

Can you get some VZ52/57 mags in 7.62x39? And what about the rifles themselves?

Gentlemen,
IIRC the 5.45X39 caliber is prohibited in Canada, primarily being the one designed to be shot out of well balanced but inherently evil AK-74. I've read somewhere that being the case.
Anybody here with possibly better knowledge Of the matter.

I've been known to be wrong before :)
I guess can't believe everything you see on the internets...

Good one. LOL

I'd pay $1,000 for a chrome lined, non-restricted 7.62x39 VZ58. I'd happily put a deposit down on one if you had the order ready to go...
