I keep hoping that Norinco will produce a true Hi Power clone (not the dubious double action NP-18 that has had very mixed reviews). China certainly has history with the Inglis and with the continued hi-cost of old or new Hi-Powers, it seems there is a gap in the market. A $400 or less exact clone (like their 1911's) would sell plenty.

It sure would! I'd buy one in a second. I have a Norinco 1911 Commander
If you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything
it would be sweet if they made one with a standard light rail.

Hey CGNers. Here is your chance to crowed fund a future Olympic hopeful and current gun nut!! thanks for your help everyone
It isn't an exact Hi Power clone.
It is a copy of the FEG P9R.
Clone this FEG clone:

That is extremely interesting because this is right off of the Marstar site:
Definitely is a P9R, not a Hi Power...
I almost bought an FEG clone last summer but SOMETHING about it didn't seem quite 'right'. After hours of staring at the real thing and clones, side by side, I realized that almost every clone had the curved 'step' in the frame above and in front of the triggerguard while the real deal had a straight frame all the way back to the grip. It bugs me so much that no matter how much of a deal they are, I can't bring myself to buy one with the stepped frame.
Canada ended when Trudeau began.
A real Hi-Power clone...in .40S&W. I'd be all over that...
