    H&R Model Tamer .410 Bore

    Only $219.00

Tamer Shotguns stow virtually anywhere and have a unique thumbhole/pistol-grip stock that offers a firm hold and secures additional rounds. Compact barrel has a fixed full choke. High density polymer, black matte finish pistol grip stock; thumbhole design with storage compartment.

A nifty little survival and pack backing shot gun at a very reasonable price.
    Cheers,

    Gary

I'm looking for one of these H&R .410 Tamers for my son... doesn't come up on a search on your site. Can you get?
    Thanks!

You can always look at a Rossi Tuffy... virtually the same gun, just a different storage system for the shells. I have one, its a great little gun. ive fired shot and slugs out of it and its actually surprisingly accurate. Also, something I didnt find out till later, if you unscrew the front sling swivel you can take the gun down into 2 parts... VERY small.

I paid $200 for mine at a gun show but found you can buy them new for nearly the same price.

I fired slugs through the tuffy... no problem. I like the shell holder on the tamer better... it would be faster I think. But overall I think they are so similar it cant matter much.

Yes, it shoots 45LC or .410.
The early version came with a 12 ga barrel too, but it's just the .410/.45 long colt now I guess.
Here's a demo of both barrels:
(Hey thanks pavementsurfer -- I'll check out that Rossi Tuffy... looks like pretty much the same thing!)

I bought one of these Tamers used off the EE a year or so ago, great little grouse getter. Mine doesn't have that removable choke and choke tool though.
