We have stripped them down and removed all cosmoline.We then sandblast all the steel components to clean up all the surface profile imperfections, and then parkerize everything to give them a good clean look. These rifles now look 100% better than the original blueing! These guns will come lubricated and ready to fire.......No more cleaning off cosmoline. Price is $299.99 ea not including shipping or GST. Its going back in time a bit, but..............

What would the cost be; Removing the bayo, cut & recrown barrel to 'just' legal length, re-installing the front sight then parkerized.......

I only ask as I was looking at 'bubbaing' one of my SKS to do exactly this.......

We can still get you one if you want but I have changed the price to $325.00 for the chinese models and $350.00 for the russian models.

Can I ask how much to do this to a supplied rifle? I have a really beat up chinese one that needs to prettied up?

Here you go.......this is what we normally charge for all the work needed to be done from the ground up.

Quotes for all semi-auto’s, lever, pump-action rifles (no bolt action)

1. Complete rifle Arma-coat package ($285.00) this includes all disassembly, sandblasting, Parkerizing, and Arma-coating of the rifle with reassembly and lubrication.*

2. Parkerizing rifle ($250.00) this includes all disassembly and reassembly with sandblasting, and Parkerizing with lubrication. *

3. Refinish rifle ($225.00) with Arma-coat but gun must be sent completely stripped in pieces so we save time disassembling and reassembling this includes sandblasting, Parkerizing, and coating color of your choice.

5. Refinish rifle by Parkerizing but gun must be stripped apart. ($185.00)

6. All magazines, scope mounts, stocks, and accessories will be charged extra, unless otherwise quoted as a package deal by an Arma-Coat Finishes representative. We usually give a package deal when a firearm or firearms are being sent and other accessories are needed to be finished, please ask for a package quote and keep it on file as the quote will be good for 30 days.

*As a side note we refinish any and all types of Firearms and are federally licensed for anything under the sun. To save money sending guns completely disassembled helps keep our shop time lower and your price lower. Or the cheapest route possible is we sell you the Arma-Coat products and you can do it yourself.
*If you are sending a firearms(s) to be finished please call before hand to ensure we are not overbooked this way we can keep our within a week policy accurate.

I received my black parkerized 1953 Tula from Barret a few weeks back, and all I can say is wow! He took the time to pick out a fine base rifle, degreased and black parkerized it. It looks brand new, and after running 300 rounds through it (Czech surplus, Norinco, Seller & Bellot) not one stoppage. If you are in the market for an SKS, call Barret. You will be glad you did.

good to know, i have a russian that i have put a tapco stock on and i love it. i want to get another but keep it pretty original.
