Oh man! I juat looked at this entire thread. Pretty much proved that I NEED to get one. It's like a seatbelt for hunting! Probably don't need it, but when you do, you'll be glad you had it. Plus it would be a sh*tpile of fun!! Guess I know what to start saving for...
bang bang WEEEE!!
no plans from rossi yet ........ just 45 colt .
i can almost see 454 casull being a no brainer , they already have " normal" 1892 rifles in that chambering .
i'm actually hoping they go one step farther and chamber it ( and their longer lever guns ) in 460 s&w .
Well i'll be interested in seeing what you come up with. My concern witht he mernickle design is it may not effectively allow for after market sights easily (it almost looks like it NEEDS the sight to stop the gun from moving forward. I could be wrong tho. I'd like to look at some of the fibre optic options if i don't just put a williams or other peep sight on it and remove the buckhorn sight altogether.Hi all,
Right now I am working on the belt for driller212 and, if he's happy with the belt, then will start on the holster. I'm thinking of a design similar to what Mernicke has that would also allow back carry. I'll let you know how things go.
Cheers!!

As ugly as that vertical grip looks it would make the mare's leg configuration easier to cycle....without the full length but stock anchored to a shoulder the lever action creates a lot of torque that would be mitigated by the vertical grip.
But I've already got an extra full butt stock waiting.
I think one of those magpul thingies would look better on there than a vertical grip, but i still think bubba-ing one of these things is treason.
