Yes, the fit took some doing with a back & forth fit with stock to gun. I finnally had to add hardwood strips with (epoxy cement for wood) to get the stock to fit. The Boyde's stock (Win 1892/pre-64 94 stock walnut semi-inlet) fits quite well with just a bit of outside sanding to get it to fit in the end, I'm pleased with the finnal product.
PS, just take your time and all will be well.

Others have elongated the hole & tang to get flush fit.

If you find a flashlight mount that is reasonable tell me ! Ive been looking and there seems to be little to non so i may just make a bare min one, since this will be my camp gun now.

That is my plan for mine to, a camp and pack gun. Something that is easy to carry.

My plan is to find a synthetic stock set and simply screw on a small piece of picatinny rail up front then I will mount a pistol style light.

Thats my plan im thinkin also ... I found a ram line winchester 94 synthetic for 70 bucks but not sure if it will work?

had mine out today and i loved it but there was a few problems. had a couple times where the action was hard to open and on further inspection the case seemed to have been bulged a little about a quarter inch from the bottom. i assume thats not normal but is it an ammunition thing or a gun thing? brand was american eagle. also the gun seemed to shoot extremely high.
