How can people actually get invloved and put a stop to this stuff happening? It's easy to pass a law against gun owners if no gun owners even know there is a plot.
And don't tell me to buy a membership with some association because they shure shart the bed on this.
I mean how could it get from the point of concoction to the point of shoving another sh't sandwhich down out throats without somebody knowing that's supposedly on our side.

    Hire a spy or something......

The mag. capacity restrictions began with Kim Campbell. It was no secret, it was publicly announced and was incorporated in the CPC's new law. The Libs. included it in theirs.
These organizations you are criticizing, along with firearm owners, were vocal, and lobbied at the time. Individuals and organizations can try to influence the legislative process, but unfortunately cannot pass legislation.
As far as that goes, the program of incremental restriction has been known since the '70s. No secret.
I do not know what you expect - some sort of wand waving instant fix? Poof and its gone?

As far as these magazine capacity interpretations are concerned - RRA/LAR, S&W and Chiappa - the RCMP are doing nothing other than applying the law as written. What else can they do? Is there a vast conspiracy to read the law, and apply it as written?

    +1

    This is true...

I just see the RCMP passing and increasing whatever restrictions/delays as they can whenever possible, if the old guard drops off and retires then hopefully we get RCMP in their that are not biased against firearm ownership in general..

But Remember it makes Police jobs easier in there view if we have no firearms, at the end of the day they care about their own interests, and that means bending the rules there way and making the law, or interpreting towards their agenda...Not ours, we have really little to offer them, accept for their member's that are sport shooting/hunters enthusiasts.

At the end o the day people in Canada care about there individual needs & wants only, and not there fellow man.

The only way to fight this is get more people shooting and involved, especially people in key places...

It seems odd how much these rulings are influenced or started by the marketing wordings of products, i.e. what they are sold/advertised by the manufacturers as.
I suppose we are not big enough a market for manufacturers to take into consideration when marketing their products......?

    1) join the CPC ( https://secure.conservative.ca/become_a_member/?language_id=0 ) and get active in campaigns and on the riding association board. Let people know why you're there, and invite board members to the range to enjoy themselves. Involve your candidate / MP in the same manner.
    2) join the CSSA or NFA. Like it your not, they are your best advocates.
