Hey guys. I'm looking forward to my new JR in .40 S&W. And I'm really trying to do my best not to be impatient.

Just wondering if anyone has had to wait more than the estimated 2-3 days for the transfer to be approved? I went in and paid for mine on Sun. Its now Thur and still no word.

wow really? So what are they doing processing a non-restrictive carbine? Do you think this will change after the registery is gone? I am about to buy one off you guys and I guess I am wondering aloud here?

Without the registry there will be no delay since it will not go to the cfo for transfer as the store will check your license and the cfo are doing it now because it uses a 10 round pistol magazine. It's a make work annoy you kind of thing.

Sounds to me like the CFO is creating more work for themselves, thought they would already have enough. If everyone could create jobs for themselves like those guys do, we wouldn't be in a depression.

As long as the magazines are designed for the glock, there should have been no issue. It may have been smarter for the manufacturer or importer to ship the firearms to Canada with 5 rd mags like most rifles are and leave it up to the buyer to source 10 rd handgun mags. Flaunting loop holes is an easy way to attract unwanted attention. That said... it is ridiculous. Here is the RCMP's stance on 10 rd mags in rifles. I believe Part 4 is the applicable info.

Should be a moot point though now without the registry although Quebecers may have issues if their CFO is doing the same thing.
