    JR Carbine Second Generation?

I recently purchased a JR Carbine from Epps that I haven't received yet. I just read on the US forums that the first generation had extraction problems and a second generation was made. From seeing some of the videos posted on CGN in which there weren't any extraction issues I presume the second gen. are in Canada. Anyone know if the ones Epps are selling right now are second gen.?

    TIA

I don't think there is actually 2 seperate generations, but more like production runs. The very first batch had some issues, as noted in a couple infamous youtube videos, but the after that all the problems seemed to be ironed out.

Similar situation with lots of guns, and just a matter of getting over the initial hurdles in the production, and QC.

Rem 597 VTR - extractor issues
Sig Mosquito - cycling and feeding issues
Ruger SR9 - firing when dropped
    S&W MP9 - mags dropping when fired

They eventually fix the issues, but not necessarily an official next generations.

I believe the changes were only in the bolt and the extractor if any.

I could be wrong but this is how I understand it.

As far as the guns EPPS has, since they are special made for our barrel restrictions, I can only assume they were made much further down the line than the first few batches.
    .
You may not like or own guns. That is your right. You may not believe in God. That is your choice. However, if someone breaks into your home, the first 2 things you are gonna do are 1) Call someone with a gun, and 2) Pray that they arrive quickly.

Just rolled over the 200 round mark with mine and only had one stovepipe but it was with a kci mag so some of it could be the mag as the glock has been flawless. It is a fun little plinker and have been smoking the few gophers that are out with it.

I just checked Epps and yes they are gone from the website.

When I got mine Epps said the fifty they got sold right away.

I am putting together a range report.

I should have grabbed one while I was there. I was looking around for something to buy and the guy stuck one in my hand, looked like fun but I hadn't heard of them at the time so I passed

What were they going for? Hope they get more and I don't mind the wait I need a few reloading bits and then in the fall a 9 mm or better yet a 40 carbine would be cool!
