Since the SR1911 was released by Ruger, almost every single magazine has had at least one (if not more) reviews of this pistol..... All reports are positive. I currently have 8 magazine subscriptions, the only ones who haven't reviewed the Ruger yet are Outdoor Canada and Handloader Magazine.Originally Posted by plinker 777

At least 3 different articles have mentioned trying trying "major Manufacturers" mag in the pistol. So far only writer mentions that a mag didn't work, he also claims that the mag doesn't work in his Colt or his Springfield.

Everyone is hoping to get it but doubt anyone is expecting it. At best even if the here in two weeks miraculously happens CFC and shipping will take a week. Say Dec at best, hoping I'm wrong; got a 1000 rnd case of AE anxiously waiting.

Well I am on order #2 and as long as I can play with my 1911 ON Christmas day I will be pleased as hell.
Barret told me that the first batch is at customs so he should have them soon. Ill be on the second order unless some people pull out on the first order.
Soon is a deceptive word for anything dealing with firearms and customs. Way too many horror stories. One moment NR, next it's banned. ie Ruger 10/22 25 rnd mag. Fortunately after 100 yrs customs should have the 1911 worked out, looking fwd to it esp. with the delay in the G21 Gen4.
