Omega Safety Systems Gun Locks - NOW IN STOCK

We have just finalized arrangments with the fine folks at Omega to bring in their gunlocks. This will be of interest to those who do not like the bulky trigger locks when storing or transporting and value quick access.

The plan is to stock the common handgun versions but what I am wondering is if there is any interest in the rifle / shotgun locks.

Here is the link to their products page:

    http://www.omegagunlock.com/productline.htm

Posting up the model/quantity you are interested in would be helpful too so we can more accurately determine the order size.

These will be available online and in our showroom so local Nutz can skip the shipping charges.

Stock is limited on this shipment but more will be arriving soon.

    I'd be interested if the cost isn't too high for my .223, .308, 12 guage, 9mm, .40, .45, and .357 revolver.

    Any idea on the cost?

I have interest in them for Handgun and long arms but only if you are supplying a letter from the RCMP that these are considered trigger locks. We all know that if we get stopped or inspected and they don't see the little wart on the gun that there will be a hassle. Having that little piece of paper on hand may convince some gun owners to take the risk. Just my thoughts.

Thanks for the feedback. Cost should be very close to those posted on the Omega site. The dollar is a little wonky at the moment but I am hoping to match.

Fair point! I will look into this further. As it is, the wording for both storage and transport is "secure locking device" which this would certainly qualify as.

I would be interested in a few for handguns, auto and revolver.

This seems like a solution searching for a problem. That little allen key looking device looks a lot easier to lose then my key on a key chain, or a combination to a traditional lock. In my opinion those are over engineered and don't solve a real problem.

These Omega safety system gun locks would be ideal for folks who like to display their firearms in a legal manner. No more unsightly cables, locks or bars...

    Hmm. Interesting.

Yes sir. Which is why I asked about bringing in locks for shotguns and rifles. Not part of the original plan but if you guys want them, post up!
