I'm sure I mentioned this before that I took cleanly a wild boar at 75 yards for a perfect heartshot with my Deerslayer. That was a few years ago in 2007. Last winter with two very good friends we broke a siege on another friend's rural garden. 23 snowshoehares were taken between the three of us and every one ended up in someone's cookpot. We did break this up so we had something including outdoor fun over the long winter months. In my paws was an Ithaca/SKB in 20 gauge. (a blunderbuss was used once or twice)
Last week I dropped two ruffies with three shots. An M37 Featherlight also in 20 gauge was again the successful tool of harvest.

Glad I was looking around this forum. I had a Ithaca as my first firearm as a kid. Now that I'm back out of the army I'm heading to do my hunter safety etc in December and this is the first gun I will have. I'm sure I'll get my dad's when he passes and it would be great to have two to pass down to my boys.
