    .44 Mag. ?

Can you get any of the mares Legs in .44 Magnum ? Not sure who might make that one.

Not sure about the load data but there might be info on the Henry big boy out there as it has been around longer. We do have 1 in stock at this time and a few people have been intrested in it.

The following was taken from Chuck Hawks website :

Traditional factory loads for the .45 Colt drive a 250 grain lead bullet at a MV of about 860 fps and ME of 410 ft. lbs

The original Remington factory loads for the .44 magnum advertised a 240 grain SWC lead bullet at a muzzle velocity (MV) of 1470 fps and muzzle energy (ME) of 1120 ft. lbs.

The SAAMI maximum average pressure for the .45 Colt is 14,000 psi. The .45's big case, which actually has somewhat greater capacity than the .44 Magnum case, is also why so many shooters/reloaders have (falsely) assumed that it can safely be "magnumized." But this is not the case, as the big .45's pressure limit is nowhere near magnum levels.

i figured to have to juice up the 45colt to get good use out of it, my dream mares leg would be a stainless .44 mag .
