Rauch's nitrocarburizing process was supposed to protect the barrel for corrosive salts and even increase muzzle velocity. I am wondering if the Nitron finish does the same...? Also curious about pricing.

I was wondering this too! Thought it might be nice on a charter arms gun, how much would it cost to do and how durable is it, do you think it would wear through on the cylinder drag area
    One of the originals

Any chance you can post some before and after comparison pictures? The gun looks great but I have never held a scout.

It is very tough and durable, but the contact between moving metal will always wear down no matter what finish is applied. It is better for a finish to wear in for a proper break in and fit of a moving part.
