What if you did apply it to a bore ?

Is it similar to the Nitride finishes some people are using on AR barrels? I have an S&J and I'm diggin the copper resistance the bore seems to have.

It is similar to what some are using on their barrels, but most of the barrels I see are chrome lined so no need for nitriding the interior. I don't see the harm in nitroning the interior as this is a crazy thin finish.

Oh, I should of pointed out that the barrel is SS.

I have an SS AR barrel. Once I'm done breaking it in, I'm going to test it for accuracy to find out if it's worth the maintenance.
If it's nothing special I might consider getting this kind of treatment done to it.

Is it possible to Nitron the bore but not the exterior ? I kind of like the SS look of it.
