Sorry at that price that is not the best steel.

B.S. The victorinox (sp?) Steel is some of the best. For a working knife it doesn't get much better...

Still thinking on it. I don't need to start collecting knives again, I only just started getting rid of some of them.

Big difference between collecting and using a knife....

Have you ever had a job where you relied on your knife? I have.

Would you like to know what brand of knives are on the belts of commercial fishermen up and down the west coast? Yup, you guessed it Victorinox.

You can keep COLLECTING your d12, vagina 10 and qkerhbfouweygbiouyb67956845. I'll keep USING my vicorinox.

    Wow, gentlemen, please?
    Arguing about steel?
    Really?
I just picked up a Spyderco Streetbeat in vg10. It had a small, but practical blade. It was $160 plus tax.
I am certain this size of knife in anything else would be much more expensive.
Let us spend our own money, and grow some skin while you mature.

Lets get this thread back on track. Anyway you cut it, the steel these knives are made of is quality, maybe not the best, but still quality steel. If you do not want one, don't buy one (I only got about 20 left though).

It's probably best for someone to move along if they are not interested.
