So an interesting issue I seem to be having with my mags. All three p-mags and the ASC mag that it came with will load into the rifle with 4 rounds in them but only the ASC will load in with 5?? This is with the bolt closed! Is this a case of improper pinning that is not allowing the 5th bullet to depress far enough when it comes into contact with the underside of the bolt?? The ASC mag had to be forced to get it in but fit. Engaging the mag release once the ASC was in was difficult though! Insight plz!!!

Did you give it nice firm tap on the bottom when you insert the pmag or did you just try to push it in by hand?

I have seen this issue before with pinned mags. I chock it up to spring tension being high because it's new or the pin is just slightly too high. Was it difficult charging the rifle because the underside of the carrier was riding the top round as you pulled back?

I gave them a firm tap for sure and I cant see it being spring tension. I never charged the rifle but I imagine that it would have been difficult with the ASC mag that got all 5 in! It seems to me that it is the result of the pin being mabey a mm or 2 higher than what it should be. Surprising to say the least that all 3 pmags would have this issue. That being said when loading with the bolt open this problem doesnt exist but should I be doing drills and for whatever reason the mag catch fails after the last mag then im reduced to manually charging and holding open the bolt or stripping one round from the next mag!

That will be a headache while doing a tactical mag change!

Yikes. That sucks. Well if you're handy, you can remove the rivet/pin, drill a new hole a little lower so you have about a 1/2 round of space and put a new rivet in.

With all 3 pmags and the 5rnd mag having this issue seems odd. I haven't tried loading the 5rnd mag that came with my DD. I'll give that a try tonight and let you know.

I had difficulty loading the last round into the supplied 5 rounder as well. Perhaps it needs a little break in. That having been said my PMAGS have ran flawlessly.

Its not a huge deal as the problem lies with 3 $20 mags that can be replaced. Needless to say i will use them for comparison to future pmag buys. They will be the black sheep of my gun safe lol.

Anyone have a picture of one of their pmags and the placement of the rivet. My rivets are all on the spine of the mag and are exactly 14 mm above the topmost cross rib. That measurement is from the very top of the rib to the center of the rivet. Anyone able to give pics or their own measurements so I can see where Im at on this??

Well I got the notification today my m4 is sitting at my house waiting for me to return from work and have my way with her. The rest of this week is going to drag by now thanks again Wolverine Supplies!! I am still looking for a good scope at a good price so if anyone has any leads let me know.
