Here's what mine looks like after racking it about 100+ times or so...
Wear and tear is to be expected but if you're concerned that your DD was a used rifle from the start, I get that. I know that once I get my LATT, my pretty little black safe queen is definitely getting battle scars.![]()
Just wondering, what sort of sling mount I would need for the OmegaX rail?
Any of you use one?
I assume these are what I would need?

Anyone have extreme difficulty so far trying to replace the A2 pistol grip with an Magpul MOE? The grip just does not want to slide on. This would appear to be a Magpul issue. Are these always super hard to slide on or what? Been at it for like an hour now when it should have taken 5 minutes tops!
Bushies are generally good rifles but I have personally witnessed a catastrophic failure during a course. The bolt carrier shattered during "normal" use. Like, it freaking shattered. Pieces everywhere. It has happened but I think it's pretty rare.
DD is as high quality as you can ask for. It's up there with Sabre but "what are your expectations?" should be the question.
Concerning the Norinco comments, Norinco will have a place in Canada until AR's come down to $899 or so. Like the S&W M&P. It's $699 at Cabelas in the US. Right now you can have a Norinco AR for $675 in Canada. It is not a DD but mine has never failed...ever. Almost 5000 rounds, cleaned only twice (I should be embarrassed) and not one malfunction. Do I want to go to Afghanistan with it? No, but right now it's a 2 for one pricing model.
Hope that helps. I'd like to get one of these Daniels in the budget myself.

I may be having bad luck. I bought three PMAGs 5/30, and 2 LAR-15 10 round pistol mags. I also have the 5 round mag that came with the DD.
Of those six different mags, only the wolverine 5 rounder will insert and lock into the magwell on a closed bolt when loaded to capacity. It's not too happy about it though, and needs a firm slap. I have to reduce the PMAGs to 4, and the LAR to 7, for them to lock in short of a bout of domestic abuse.
Quite likely I'll have to re-rivet the PMAGs, as there's just plain not enough movement allowed by the rivet for 5 rounds to lock on a closed bolt. Probably have to doctor the follower on the LAR mags as well, as it doesn't seem to be a spring issue as they stop dead. PMAGs were manufactured on 2012/4 for two of them and, 2012/3 for the third. Just by looking at them I can tell they were riveted by hand, as all three rivets are in slightly different spots horizontally. Each PMAG only gives me 2 mm of extra space with 5 cartridges loaded before they hit the rivet, so I'm doubtful that working the spring will accomplish anything.
Did I mention how much I have come to dislike the rivets?
New mags and all, I'll leave them fully loaded, and try to work with them for a while to get the springs to loosen up a bit before I get out the power tools. It just seems odd that five new mags wouldn't work.
The damn rivets prevent the mags from dropping free as well, though with some work two of them will drop free most of the time when empty. Junk rivets are scratching my beautiful magwell. This right here is the problem with our laws, by riveting the mags the fit is changed, resulting in malfunctions of a top of the line product.![]()

A couple pages back I posted regarding the exact same issue. They (pmags) will all go in when full but only with a hefty and i mean hefty strike to the bottoms of them. Hitting them so hard has me worried about loosening/breaking the rivet or breaking the follower! I also have beef with the rivets f*cking up the appearance of the magwell and creating a mag dropping free issue. Idk what the issue is because these mags seem to go in fine for other rifles but they should all be to the same specs. The scratching of the magwell i get and can be fixed by filing/smoothing out the rivets but I hate that they are so hard to load with 5 in them.
I also have issue with my MOE pistol grip! Wont sit flush, screw hole appears slightly to far forward and had to file sh*t off just to get it started on the lower! Someone else with an MOE grip plz assist!!
I noticed the same thing with my MOE ie, the hole in the grip would not align up with the hole in the lower. I partially removed the MOE grip and tilted it slightly so that the hole will line up and then started tightening down the screw (wish they'd used an allen key screw instead). Eventually the screw pulled the MOE grip down tightly. Be careful not the cross thread the screw.
Just grind off a 1/4" or so of the follower leg and you should be good. Sucks that you have to do that and odd since it's all built to spec, you figure they should all work.
