Quick question. If I wanted to use a front sight gas block, along the lines of this one below, what would be the rail I need to get the rail clear of the gas block?
I think a 9" rail is right, but I'm not sure if that lines up correctly.
I'm still a newb with ARs, but it looks like either of these rails might work

Is that correct? Any advice you folk can offer would be much appreciated.
Death comes by subtle means; the satisfaction of routine.
Jesus...I'm trying to install my Fde MOE grip and the hole doesn't line up.
So I took a flat head screwdriver and started opening the hole going backwards to allow the screw to thread properly. However, when I tighten it down it seems to rock back and forth, did anyone else ave the same issue?
Original a2 grip is perfect, and I'm using the shorter magpul screw as well
Alright, sorted it out and now it's effing perfect for me! Can't wait to get it sighted in
By the way, anyone on the fence about DD should jump off now...this rifle is legit, super light weight and the new style handguard is money...super slim instead of feeling like an ibeam. I had a norinco before and that was piece of sheet compared to this
Is there a date on when this model will be back in stock? I love the flat top with that hand guard.
Product Code: DA-20010-NS
I really want the Troy Alpha rail but Troy Parts are a pain in the ass to get. This DD set-up is pretty much what I was going to build. I'd rather just buy it and go shoot!
