The wear is normal... U should see the wear on my M&P 40 that's seen 20,000+ rounds... And it still is ridiculously accurate and reliable. Everytime you pull the trigger, it goes bang. Without fail.

    Point. Squeeze. Enjoy.

Good info about the gummed up upper. Can I also mention, not that you have been, but I have heard that dry firing a 22 is a big nono.

And, my gsg is losing paint on the under side of the barrel. Oh well, fun to shoot. Some day I will give it to my kids to play with (when they are old enough to own or go to the range), they will probably enjoy and abuse it, why worry now LOL!

Thanks for the reply guys. Its clean as new, everything is where it should be, & definitely no dry firing... I guess it will be more trial & error with this thing.

This has cuased the paint to rub off and scratch quite badly. I understand this may sound like I put the gun back together wrong however with my experiences I feel this is not the case. Is this common? could it be a slighly oversized slide or something? Its too late now that the paint has worn off. It isnt causing any physcal or functional issues. Laslty would you reccomend a touch up product that may work or am I just gonna have to live with it? thanks for you help.
    Hello Marlin,

We have seen and heard of this happening with the GSG finish and we have brought it up with the manufacturer. As has been stated above there is touch up paint available in the GSG 1911 Spare Parts kits but we do not have any paint samples available separately. If there is anything we can be of assistance with please let us know.

    Best regards,

While I don't have one of these yet, I wonder if the wear will cease after "bedding in" or will continue till something needs replacing. I have 2,000+ rounds through my TT-33 and have no appreciable wear after the initial wearing in process. Different firearm for sure, but it's my only reference other than my Ruger Mk II.
    Cheers!!
