Hey CANAM, good timely shipping, charged the card then the next day on my doorstep! Only one problem.... the box looked pretty abused when it got here, and my rear sight housing is bent like it got dropped from some height. Is there any way i can ship the sight back to you for a replacement? i dont wanna send the whole thing back cause my everything else appears to be in great condition.

More reasons for yall to buy them.
I just refinished my 12.5" ghost ringed grizzly with 5 coats of olive krylon paint.
Front sight post going to get chopped off and a fiber optic installed, scope mount acts like a giant ghost ring, shoots VERY well even nearing......20-22k rounds fired.
Yes 20,000+ rounds fired in this cheap china shotgun and only operational failures have just been rounds I loaded after dropping in mud/ect and those gummed up, operator error.

good to hear, I got some OD matte krylon i was thinking about doing the same thing. Do any special prep on yours? have you beat it up any, in other words how well do you think the paint will hold up?

Previous the guns receiver, barrel and mag tube were all stripped down poorly then polished up, was bare metal.
800 grit wetsand with WD-40 to break up the surface corrosion, then moved up to steel wool, gloved up then took some rags with carb cleaner to all surfaces I'll touch and it removed every bit of oil/grime/ect.
Repeat the rags in carb cleaner till nothing comes off the gun anymore, wipe it fry and if its sunny let it completely dry and warm up the metal, we all know metal expands when its warm and will hold the paint better.
After that then just sprayed my multiple coats like I was painting a BBQ or anything else.
Painting is super easy, prep is where you make or break the job.

I am just about to get a 12.5 Grizzly and I'm deciding on how to protect it (I heard they can rust fast). How does Krylon (with proper prep work) compare to Duracoat/Armacoat for wear and rust protection?

We do not rise to the occasion. We fall to our level of training.
Here is the before pic of my Grizzly.
As for rust ect I have no idea yet, I haven't had the gun out in the rain yet since I painted it.
Hope we get some good rainy mornings so I can put it through the paces when I pack it out fishing in the canoe.
Will let ya all know how it goes when it does happen.

What stock is that on the grizzly in your before picture?
Argh, so much waiting, makes me want my grizzly more. I was told they were processing orders this week OR next week. Keeps getting pushed back![]()
