Anyone use the smithing service at Wanstalls? If so how did you find the turn around time?

Na honestly I haven't got anything bad to say at all. As there smith all ways treats my stuff good.

Wanstalls does gunsmithing now? In house? I thought they stopped a couple years back after something happened to their 'smith (don't know what happened...just what I heard).

They are sending stuff out.

I did hear one crappy thing about them taking months to drill a few scope holes, and the customer getting the run-around a bit, but that was about 4 years ago now. I did trust the source though, but like I say, been a while.

Just to confirm for everybody...we don't have a gunsmith on site. But we can recommend a very good one locally....

When minor work is sent out what are you guys finding is a reasonable turn around time? I've had an item in for 9weeks with no estimated return time?

9 weeks is NOTHING for a smith. So few of the good ones left, and getting fewer all the time.
