First off you should have asked for pictures before purchasing.
Second, you installed a suspect barrel, and actually fired a round through it.
At this point you catch it,you keep it.
Pick up the phone and call. It's harder to ignore someone talking to you.
Epps is pretty good, I'd be surprised if they didn't help you out. That being said, the "this and that" section has a lot of stuff that is sold as is and non-returnable as far as I know. Did they say anything regarding this before you purchased?
Don't take this the wrong way, but if I'm installing a new barrel on a gun, the onus is on me to make sure it is the right one for the gun. If I were the vendor I would offer your money back, but definitely not the money to repair your gun. You yourself said that
Someone maybe maybe made a mistake at Epps end, but They are not the one's who installed it on your shotgun. My 2centsAfter comparing the barrel to my stock barrel,
-The barrel has a smaller "ring" that slides on my mag tube than my stock barrel. This barrel does not fit my mossberg 930 and wouldn't fit ANY unless some older models have different dimensions.
####ty deal either way, I would be fuming mad as well.

I might be wrong but isnt cutting down a shotgun barrel a BIG no no, in which case I think that makes it a prohibited item that they sold you. I'm not sure how its judged, weather it has to be installed on a firearm or maybe I'm completely off but that might be worth looking into.
-The barrel says it was actually a 24inch barrel that someone cut down to 18.5 inches (Something that Epps didn't bother telling me before purchasing either).
wow, just Wow.

I am sorry for your problems but I don't see guilt for EPPS here.
You bought an old barrel without at least some photos, installed it on a gun without having any data about match / installation and without checking it upfront.
The fact that the barrel might have been cut down to 18.5" from 24" is irrelevant in this case; both are non-restricted.
I am even sorrier to say but I believe you acted in a dangerous way not only for the gun but for your safety as well. When dealing with guns we just simply cannot act in this way: "It seemed to install fine".
Please don't be upset and take this case as an attitude change.
Again, I apologise if my words seem to be unpleasant in any way; definitely this is not my intent.
Be safe!

I see some guilt for Epp's here.
A barrel that has been cut down to 18.5" is still legal and that's fine, but seriously, would you not agree that this might be something that Epp's should have mentioned prior to selling??
They threw me an unexpected curveball once too - I'm not interested in "grab bag" purchases.
