All around cartridge?
For any of you more experienced hunters on here would you agree that this cartridge is a good all around to use on any hooved game in Canada? I am pretty new to hunting but based on what I have read this might be a little heavy for whitetail and perhaps a minimum for Moose but I wouldn't pull the trigger unless the distance was 200 yards or less and the shot was clean. I am also trying to figure out what the sight in is on this at 100 yards for a point blank range dial-in. This is my first post, this is a great site and there are a lot of smart and respectful people on here, a rarity on the internet.

This cartridge would be fine for deer/moose given good shot placement out to 200 yards and even beyond.

You can check the math yourself at www.hornady.com/ballistics, criticals are:
Muzzle Velocity: 2800 fps
Ballistic Coefficient: 0.475
Scope Height: 1.5" (default, is yours different?)
Zero: I would set to 200 yards
For MPBR settings, I just found this: http://www.shooterscalculator.com/point-blank-range.php
Have fun!
