I would take one with a composite stock in 7.62x39

I will take wood anytime over composite stock.

Zastava makes decent wood stock, might not be the prettiest, but it is sturdy and strong, and looks right for that type of firearm.

I'd be interested in a decent but realatively inexpensive bolt action that uses 7.62x39. Fun little unit that shot cheap ammo. It would be like the heady days of old with the Lee Enfields again.

That's my thought, i have so much of it for my sks, and sometime i want to do some target shooting. Would be nice to just bring one type of ammo, and it's alot cheaper than other 30 cal round for practise

Wish Savage would chamber the edge package or a Stevens in this Cal.

Normally savage would be my first choice, but i have heard that their barrels have a .308 diameter rather then .311 for european ones, which can (potentially) cause some problems.

    Savage

Hasn't been a problem for me. I have a Savage 10 FCN Scout in 762x39 that I've been using milsurp ammo in - the .308 bore diameter doesn't seem to cause any problems at all. No pressure signs, easy extraction, some batches even give decent accuracy. The Romanian steel cased stuff that's around right now seems to shoot around 1 1/2 MOA on a good day.

I wonder if they have changed the diameter on the new ones or if it is like .223 vs 5.56, a big deal on the internet, but realistically you won't really notice it.
On a high note, my crate of norinco just arrived from Canam 20 minutes ago, hopefully the wait for something else to shoot it in won't be too long
